Scientists are trying to uncover a biological clock they say is embedded in our genomes and can shed light on the aging process. Steve Horvath, professor of human genetics at UCLA, found breast tissue in women ages two to three more years rapidly than the rest of the body. He also found that healthy tissue next to a tumor of a woman that has breast cancer is an average of 12 years older than the rest of her body.
