This story is almost too good to be true.

A lobbyist for Monsanto, Patrick Moore, claimed in an interview that the active ingredient in the herbicide Roundup was not causing cancer rates in Argentina to increase.

According to RawStory's David Edwards, Moore then said, “You can drink a whole quart of it and it won’t hurt you.”  Then when the reporter asked him to drink a glass to prove that it wasn’t harmful, Moore said, “I’m not stupid.”

“So, it’s dangerous?”  asked the interviewer.

“It’s not dangerous to humans,” Moore replied.

What might you ask are the scientific studies Moore citied to defend his claim?  According to him, many people “try to commit suicide” by drinking Roundup but “fail regularly.”  He then stormed out of the interview.

If your product is the go-to chemical for people who are trying to commit suicide, I don’t think that’s anything to brag about.  That argument isn’t going to make anyone think your product is safe.  It just makes everyone question Monsanto's products.
