Pro boxing’s light heavyweight titleholder Sergey Kovalev talks about future fights with Larry King, revealing that although he doesn’t want to look past his forthcoming championship bout with Andre Ward, he would like to eventually step into the ring with famed Haitian boxer Adonis Stevenson. Kovalev then goes on to say that Stevenson has been “avoiding” his challenge.

Sergey Kovalev: Let’s fight first Andre Ward, you know? And I can say about any opponents after the fight, you know, but right now I can say that I’m ready, yes of course, for anybody but no one else.

Larry King: Is he a heavyweight? Adonis Stevenson?

Sergey Kovalev: Adonis, yeah, he’s a light heavyweight. Double DC champ. But he’s avoiding any way to fight with me.

Larry King: Would you like to fight him?

Sergey Kovalev: Yeah of course.
