President Obama sent Congress a record $4.1 trillion federal budget for his final year in office.  The Governor’s take?  "My view is simple: I will spend American tax dollars so that Americans can benefit,” says Jesse. “And I certainly don’t see any benefits on tax dollars on the wars in the Middle East.”

Our debt is over $19 trillion.

See, if I were to propose a federal budget, my priorities would be towards rebuilding the United States.

They would label me an “isolationist.”  I would be at this point in time an isolationist.

We have so many problems to deal with in our own backyard. We have too much work to do in our own country in order to make America the place it should be.

Just look at Flint, Michigan.  The water crisis there could have been easily avoided. And this water crisis is “just the tip of the iceberg,” as activist Erin Brockovich has said.  There are instances across the country that are facing similar battles.

We have an infrastructure in this country that is old and decrepit.  We have a police state that clearly needs to be taken care of.  What about health care?  Every citizen in this country should have the same healthcare as a congressman.

How can we possibly give foreign aid?  $19 trillion in debt and we’re sending our money to foreign countries?  Someone please explain that to that the average American household.  When Donald Trump says “Make America great again,” I would make America great again by putting our money back into our country and not the Middle East.  We’re essentially flushing down our hard-earned money down the toilet.  Since 2001, we’ve seen no results, after spending nearly $2 trillion on warfare and 15 years of our time.

What do we have to show for it?  Not a whole lot.  Except if you have Halliburton stock.

My view is simple: I will spend American tax dollars so that Americans can benefit. And Icertainly don’t see any benefits on tax dollars on the wars in the Middle East.
