The Imitation Game, Morten Tyldum 2014

This film has a lot: intrigue, romance (sort of), action (not really but it surrounds the story), handsome Brits in tailored suits from another era and a leading lady who is strong yet sensitive. Maybe it doesn’t have everything but it works on many levels. The script is layered, on point and tightly executed. The movie is well directed, the acting is great and the story is surprisingly little-known (except, I think, to math nerds) and fascinating. For a change you feel like you are watching something smart and well put together and it all makes for an entertaining couple of hours but man was it a bad time to be gay in England!

Grandma fo sho and kids with an interest in history should go.
