22 Jump Street, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller 2014

This movie is funny. 21 Jump Street was good and this one meets expectations. The plot is simple and obvious, 2 young, foolish cops go undercover to college to find a drug dealer. Hijinks and lessons about friendship ensue. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill have loads of chemistry and are very likeable and funny together. It’s refreshing to see these actors making fun of themselves and fully commit to the comedic silliness. The writing is tight, clever and relevant (in a social media pop culture teenage kind of way) and it’s simply just entertaining.
I suppose grandma might find it amusing and kids (ranging from ages 10-21) will love it.
