Best movie of the summer for sure. That’s not saying much, as it’s been a very drab summer in the theaters, but this one is actually good! Chris Pratt transforms into a movie star before our eyes. It’s fun to watch as the rag-tag posse takes on the bad guys. We root for them because they make us care through humor, emotion and impressive (thankfully not over-the-top) action sequences. We might care a tad more if 20 minutes was shaved off and if the dialogue was just a smidge less silly. But Chris Pratt is charming enough to help you forget about those all-too-common sins so just sit back, relax and enjoy the popcorn.
