What Does It Take to Be a Fox News ‘Terror Expert’? A Good Lie.

Wayne Simmons may not be an expert, but he played one on TV. Now he’s going to jail for it.

Fox News -- your one-stop shop for bullshit -- has again proved that the channel’s unentertaining form of entertainment is NOT news. As Australia’s ABC reports:

Wayne Simmons of Annapolis, Maryland, portrayed himself as an "outside paramilitary special operations officer" for the Central Intelligence Agency from 1973 to 2000.

He allegedly tried to use that claim to get government security clearances and work as a defence contractor.

But a grand jury was on to his scheme and indicted him in “connection to alleged misconduct, including major fraud and making false statements to the government. The indictment said that Simmons falsely claimed on national security forms that his previous arrests and convictions were related to his CIA work and that he had held a top secret security clearance.”

So, that’s one lying windbag down, only Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Neil Cavuto, and all the others haunting Fox News to go...
